Stone Free are a South Coast power trio, faithfully and passionately paying tribute to the greatest rock bands of the 60s & 70s with their eclectic repertoire. Mario and Stu formed the band as teenagers driven by their passion for all things classic rock. Greg joined in 2007, with the powerhouse drumming they had been searching for. The longevity of their partnership is evident in their chemistry on stage.
The objective was always to invoke nostalgia in their audiences; through a setlist of epic album tracks over the regularly heard hit singles – and to reflect the freedom which bands of the era had to be expressive, experimental and melodic. Expect the unusual with their renditions of songs such as ‘Hocus Pocus’ by Focus, ‘21st Century Schizoid Man’ by King Crimson and ‘Astronomy Domine’ by Pink Floyd.
